- HOPE: This agency specializes in providing trained therapists and consultants for respite and habilitation (behavioral) programs to help children with autism, and holds training seminars for parents and providers. (480)610-6981

- Social Security Payments: Families with limited incomes (under about $25,000-$35,000/yr depending on family size and assets) can apply to Social Security for payments to help children with a disability. 1-800-772-1213

- Autism Society of America: 1-800-3-AUTISM; Publishes a newsletter, hosts an extensive website, holds an annual national conference, and lobbies Congress for autism services and research.
- Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT): Over 70 local chapters
- Autism Research Institute: Directed by Bernard Rimland, a parent of an adult with autism and a leading advocate of research on autism.
